In 1997, Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin founded Randall’s Adventure & Training to counter the hype in the survival industry with practical tools and knowledge. They initially worked with the Peruvian Air Force's jungle survival school (ESSEL), training clients in the Amazon. Later, they moved operations to the U.S. and launched ESEE Knives to produce high-quality field gear.
ESEE Knives began with the RTAK, a design born from real-world field experience and originally produced by Wicked Knife Company, later by Ontario Knife Company. Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin also collaborated on the Laser Strike with TOPS Knives before spending five years developing the RAT line for OKC. Their journey led to the creation of ESEE Knives—now a globally recognized brand.
